Water Resources in Arid Areas: The Way Forward

The Water Research Center at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) is organizing an international water conference entitled "Water Resources in Arid Areas: The Way Forward."  The conference will be held 13-16 March 2016 on the campus of SQU.  Selected papers will be published in an special issue of the .  The deadline to submit abstracts is 15 October 2015.

The conference objective is to provide the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in the field of water resources in arid areas.
 
Presentation and papers topics include but are not limited to: Desalination, Waste water, Water management, Socio-hydrology, Subsurface hydrology, Isotope hydrology, Climatic changes and water resources, Flash flooding, Water quality, Water pollution.
 
Both oral and poster presentation will be held during the conference. The best 3 presentations of each category will be given awards. A 3-people screening-selection award committee, each from invited key-note speakers, organizing committee members from TRC, and SQU departments, will evaluate all talks and exhibited posters and make decision on awards.
