During the reporting period, the research team:
- Continued data collection from the field, including biophysical and crop management data, and sensor systems data.
- Socioeconomic survey conducted in order to describe the key irrigated farming systems, farm typology and business profiles in 17 farms located in 11 agro-ecological zones (16 geographic locations).

During the reporting period, the research team:
- Completed the third season field study to evaluate environmental risks in using treated wastewater for crop irrigation. Four crops (radish, okra, spinach and tomato) were grown and the preliminary results were positive, supporting the use of treated wastewater for irrigating crops. This preliminary data also showed that treated wastewater may actually increase crop yields, as compared to groundwater.

- Drafted a work plan outlining the steps and phases of the research project.
- Procured scientific material including canopy reflectance sensors, soil moisture sensor and Infra-red thermometer has been processed.

- Collected data on storm water detention basins and wastewater treatment plants in the Greater Casablanca region.
- Built a database of the sewage system in Casablanca and Mohammedia using ArcGIS.
