Groundwater

The Groundwater Technical Community addresses all aspects of groundwater, including sustainable use, aquifer recharge, pumping technology, pricing and tariffs, mapping and monitoring, groundwater quality, saline intrusion, and groundwater management and policy. 
 
Priority research areas are:  

• Artificial and Natural Groundwater Recharge/Discharge
• Groundwater Exploration & Monitoring Technologies (including data collection)
• Groundwater Degradation (saline intrusion, etc.)
• Socioeconomics of groundwater (governance, economics and policy)
