The use of soil amendments can enhance crop productivity in sandy soils and decrease water consumption. When soil amendments are added, remote sensing techniques help to assess their impact on the soil and crop production. Researchers will use field experiments and remote sensing techniques to assess the effectiveness of soil amendments on soil quality and crop production in the Arabian Gulf. Results will be used to publish soil improvement guidelines.
