Progress Report: April - July 2015

During the reporting period, the research team:
 
-        Continued data collection from the field, including biophysical and crop management data, and sensor systems data.
-        Socioeconomic survey conducted in order to describe the key irrigated farming systems, farm typology and business profiles in 17 farms located in 11 agro-ecological zones (16 geographic locations).
-        Conducted additional surveys of farmers in the vicinity of the project sites to explore the potential for future scaling up of the technology and its associated accumulated technical expertise.
-        Conducted training and demonstration sessions on irrigation management, sensory system use, and climatic data measurements and monitoring.
 
In the upcoming quarter, the researcher will:
 
-        Complete establishment of the project website for data sharing
-        Complete analysis of datasets on crop management; precision measurement from various probes; continuous soil water reserve variation; water models; and empirical water consumption of main crops
-        Finalize dissemination materials for technology transfer
